McClement was a great pickup by the Leafs (and surprisingly one of the very few NOT overpaid ones of the day!), and will definitely improve their abysmal PK. Avalanche fans have been talking about how great it was since it happened, saying he’s one of the best bottom six defensive centres in the league, and as someone who’s watched him play since he was in Brampton, they’re right.

Hello, i started watching your videos about 4 months ago. Very funny, and know your stuff. Not only leaving a comment about the card, but just to add a Philadelphia Flyers fan opinion on the trade that happened last week. Although I am a huge JVR fan (autographed hat and winter classic jersey) I was happy with this deal. But many people from my area, including journalists and sports radio show hosts(so dumb) felt as though the Flyers should have received a pick in addition for Jimmy(JVR). However I was happy, because as you mentioned the Flyers prime concern should be stopping pucks from entering the back of the net…… for Bryzs sake and sanity anyway. I am super excited to see Luke play, hopefully he can mature here and improve. Now if you have not seen a lot of Flyers games, this is what JVR brings. He is a good spirit in the locker room- has many good friends on the current Flyers team(Hartsy and Giroux just tweeted at him today), also he has size and is a very good skater. Not the best shot, but good in close to the net. The biggest criticisms he got while in Philly was his inconsistency and his health! The later one developed over the last two years. The first, well that was surrounding him since he started playing. At times (Buffalo Series 2 years ago), he is a unstoppable force that demands respect on the ice. Literally every shift you would notice him and he would generate scoring opportunities. BUT some nights, he is invisible and his 20 TOI seemed like he was a healthy scratch for Jody Shelly. In conclusion I hope both players can mature and improve on certain aspects of their games so that both teams feel as though they mutually benefited from this trade.
Great to have you making videos again. Gonna miss Schenn but JVR should hopefully develop into a solid top-6 guy when given a little more ice time.

Good to hear we’ll have another season of LFR. I don’t mind any of the movements over the last few weeks, although if I have a worry it’s what they’re going to do about the goal tender situation. Things sound ominous when Burke talks about it and that makes me nervous.
