Twitter: Who To Follow, Pt. 1

It’s tradin’ season.

If you’re a true hockey nerd, it’s pretty likely you know most of the major network folks on Twitter. They aren’t hard to find. We’ve seen recently even a fake Darren Dreger account gains attention, never mind his real one.

The beautiful thing about Twitter however, is that news can break and spread from the tiniest source. Now, the following list doesn’t contain what I would call tiny sources, but they’re smaller ones. The beat writers of the world. Many of them work for their team’s local papers and cover them inside and out.

Justin and I have found these reporters on Twitter and followed them. You never know, they could be the ones to break a big trade. Even if they aren’t, they’re always great for in depth insight on players, which is especially valuable if your team snags a player from the team they cover. Compounded with the insight of scouts on this this, as well as the agents and teams featured, who have been known to break they’re own trades, this is a solid list.

Leave a comment if there’s anybody you think has a good Twitter to follow for deadline coverage.
